There is three reasons I used my precious discover points to buy p90x3:
After a stress fracture while training for the Tough Mudder Virginia 2014 and a general month (or two….. or three) of laziness, the weight gain and lack of exercise was at the tipping point. I didn’t feel like myself and was overall disappointed in how I reacted to the disappointment of not being able to race. I needed a literal kick in the pants to get back in peak shape for climbing.
I have used other beachbody success with HUGE success. Insanity was unbelievable difficult, but it got me in the shape I need to train for the tough mudder last year. And not to mention, down to 26″ waist! However, Insanity is NOT the program you want to do recovering from a stress fracture. Healing stress fracture + 6 days/week of plyo = TROUBLE
The first project is….. (you guessed it!!) Completion of p90x3!
Finish the 90 day project with inclusion of climbing workouts (I am not planning on following the program perfectly due to my concentration on climbing)
Track workouts on the project page of the blog
Concentrate on healthier foods: less carbs, more protein and produce
It can’t get much easier than that!
